I am trying to find out what the going rate for scraping and painting exterior trim,and recaulking windows,on split level home.

The only way to get an exact rate is to call at least 3 painting contractors for a free bid. Labor rates control the cost and they vary from state to state and even city to city. I usually get 3 bids and take the middle bid unless they are wildly far apart.
