8 years ago I took $60 worth of cds got caught and immeiediatly got put in a diversion program . 3 days ago I was desperate for $ even though I work (dose not cover my bills ) I got caught taking $50 of cds . The first thime 8 years ago was in new brunswick this time in ontario . The cop kept acting as though this was my first offence . What can I expect ?

U need to explain a little more what the problems is, first the first time you got caught were you charged, whether you were are not , that has probabaly purged from the system, its possible the arresting police station might have a record of that but they purge there system too since new privcacy laws.
Second, were you charged with this new offence, form 9 or promise to appear, if yes then you will have to go to court, it will be a slap on the wrist, community service or maybe a small fine, that's if you don't have a huge criminal record.
You might get conditional discharge, keep the peace for a year
