If my husbands parents became usa citizens when my husband was 14?
Does that mean he is a citizen too? He came to the usa when he was 2 yrs old. His parents became citizens in 1982 at that time my husband was 12. He has no paper work showing he is a citizen or nothing he has been working and voting since he was old enough but, he has no papers to show he is a citizen and he wants a passport to go see his dad in Portugal can anyone help?

If his dad became US citizen before he turned 16, it's likely that he automatically obtained US citizenship as well (if his parents were legally married and his name was listed as dependent).

If this applies to his case... he has to get original certificate of citizenship of his parents... then file form N-600 with required documents as per instructions plus $460 fee. He will receive certificate of citizenship... then he can proceed with US passport, etc.
