I have a 3 yr old side by side Maytag fridge/freezer. Last night the freezer started making a weird noise. It seems to be associated with the water line. The noise stops when the freezer door is open. Anyone have any advise? Please Help!

It is almost like the sound you hear when a person grinds his/ her teeth. It's not loud at all but seems to be constant. Thanks for any help you may be able to give...

Press all buttons that the door would normally press when closed and see if you can locate source of sound. Look at icemaker.
