OK FAT and NTFS don't get on at all.
NTFS can reda FAT but FAT can't read NTFS.
The best thing to do would be to convert your entire drive to NTFS and go from there,

Here's how to do it correctly.
This will not damage any of that data on your drive.

Also, right click the restricted folder, choose security/sharing, find the security tab. Ensure your users has full control. Choose advanced and make sure there are no deny permissions.

Oh and convert to NTFS if that doesn't help.

Sounds to me like the problem is on an NTFS partition - "access denied on ntfs"?

I agree with jc105 that you need to check the security tab on the folders properties.

Please also be aware, If you convert a FAT or FAT32 partition to NTFS you cannot convert it back without formatting the partition.
