If a presidential nominee dies two days before the elections, what happens?
He obviously doesn't win.
Are you planning something?
He's out of the election then...
This response was from another site:
The opposition runs uncontested. Their name would still appear on the ballot and they could still get elected, but clearly they wouldn't be able to serve. This happened (on a smaller scale) when ex- Attorney General John Ashcroft ran for governor of Missouri. His (deceased) opposition won in a landslide.
And this one provides some good info but apparently the Party's have a lot of say in what happens.

Sorry!
Smear - I knew about the John Ashcroft election thing remembering how he got the job anyway. I couldn't resist my original answer though. He wins, but doesn't win as he can't serve ergo he doesn't win(?).
Maybe the Vice president takes over, which is what happens when the president dies in office. So if its possible for him to win, then that's maybe what would happen
