I recently have been having a lot of trouble with my computer constantly crashing and freezing up on me. I was told by AOL to use the AOL 1 Click Fixes but I have no clue how to get it to work. I use windows XP. It's getting very frustrating:( trying to go on the web with AOL when it constantly freezes or crashes and then I have to sign out of AOl or restart my computer in order to go on the web. Can anyone steer me I the right direction on how to fix all this crashing and freezing on my computer.

Does the computer not crash when you aren't using AOL? If so, start with uninstalling and reinstalling AOL or use their suggested 1 Click Fix by having AOL support walk you through performing that. There also is a sticky post in the Computer for Beginners forum listing must have utility software for ensuring you aren't infected with viruses or other malware.

You could also have a hardware problem which can be explored after eliminating the AOL software as culprit.
