    My router to my cable /dsl
    I am trying to hook up my linksys to my cable dsl , it ask me to rum the ethernet cable from my modern into my router I don't have modern my computer warsles so on back of my cable /dsl where do I hook up my router

    Your post is difficult to understand. What hardware did your ISP provide?

    Cable service or dsl service typically terminates in either a modem device which will have an ethernet port to connect to a router or a combined router/modem device. In the first case you connect the modem's ethernet port to your Linksys router's (?) WAN ethernet port. In the second case, your Linksys router isn't needed if your ISP provided a combined device.
