Custom made dress £940 worn once & became faulty can I claim a full refund
I had a dress designed and made for myself to be worn at my daughters weddng 14/06/08costing £940, on the wedding day when I wore it, it was pointed out to me that the dress was coming apart and fraying in the bodice area. I took the dress back to the designer and aked for a full refund, she refused to give me a refund, but offered to repair the faults. I said the dress was not fit for the purpose and should not have gone faulty the first time I wore it. Could I go through a small calims court and would I be successful in getting a full refund? I live in the UK

I don't see you getting a full refund, at least not in the US - you have the responsibility to check the "product." Seamstress will probably claim you gained weight following the fitting and the seams pulled because it was too tight.

I've been in Small Claims Court for these cases before.
