I moved away from child left him with his father in Florida. We had agreed that I will come get him in a couple of months. Can he get me on abandonment? We are not married.

I don't think he can get you for abandonment so much as he CAN file for full custody and you would have to go fight it. The sooner you go back for him the better.

Are you paying child support at this time ?

If not then if you wait too long abandonment can occur but usually the time is about 1 years time.
