I am so new to this. The fact that I'm on mobile may be the problem also, but I have only received one Answer to my only question (from Speedball); his. "answer" asked another. Question which I thought I. answered back?? It is copied here:

Check out the picture here again:

Shut off the water supply to the toilet.

Push down on the CAP (like a child-proof cap on medicine) and gently turn it until it disengages the valve body... then just set it off to the side (it will still be attached to the ARM and linkage assembly).

Now, you should see a rubber washer (see little picture at bottom right of the big picture below)

Remove the washer and clean it up a bit (you may see somethig here, under washer)... then put rag over the valve and turn the water on slightly to clear the valve body of any sediment/debris.

Re-install the washer and then re-install the CAP (again pushing down to re-engage) so lined up properly.

Then turn water supply to toilet back on and hopefully that fixed it good!

If not, may need to replace the entire assembly which is also pretty easy...

Good morning Lindy,
In our area it works a little different. Our water will swell the neoprene washer so the hole closes up making for a very slow tank fill. The solution would be to purchase a #242 FluidMaster seal and follow Marks direction on opening upthe ballcock, However I would suggest replacing the seal since they're so inexpensive. If the hole has swelled shut replacing the old seal will simply leave you with the same problem. Good luck, tom
