Welcome to AMHD. You weren't married? You should retain a lawyer to assist you. Here is some custody material; just click on Michigan: About.com: http://www.legislature.mi.gov/(S(u4sbtj555tu2id45zd35ab55))/mileg.aspx?page=getobject&objectname=mcl-chap722

Go to your local Family Court and check on the process.

The best bet is to get a lawyer. But if you don't want to do that yet go to your county family court and find out what you need to file to get a court date to petition the judge to grant you full custody of your daughter.
