What if a toddler eats a percocet?
My 2 year old has not eaten any drugs, but my Mom (his grandmother) left a percocet on the floor when she was visiting. I just want to know, IF my child had eaten one, one would have happened?

I just need to know the severity of her actions. Would it have caused death? Would it have just made him really sick? Would we have had to have his stomach pumped? Or like taking one Advil, it owuldn't have done anything. (he did do that once and we called Poison Control).

He did what once? Take an advil?

A percocet I would say you would have to get him to the ER because they relax your muscles
And that could be dangerous to the baby since their muscles are not developed and at their size and weight it would probably be more like an adult over dosing.
The symptoms would probably be that the baby would become rather limp and out of it or worse.
I would not take my chances if he starts acting anyway out of the ordinary in the least bit

Yes - took One Advil and we called Poison Control. They said it was OK - to feed him lots of water and to watch him but not to panick. Needless to say, we didn't give him the Advil - he found one on a table that my hsuband had left out by mistake and took one.

I was worried about a Percacet my Mom left on the floor.
