About 2 years ago I signed temporary gaurdenship papers of my then 2 year old to a close family member who we will call sally because she was going to put my child on her insurance for me beucase I could not afford it. She asked to keep her one weekend and wouldn't give her back. I went months without seeing my child before I had the money to hire an attorney. We were set to go to court in April of 07 the day we went to sally said that my child told her that I ahd sexually abused her. The judge sent me, my child and sally to a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist said the only thing that is wrong with my child is that she needs to be with her mother. THe judge then sent it to DHS and youth court who threw it out and said that it was "silly". We went to court again in march of 08 and the judge said that we would do visitation since my baby had not seen me in in over a year because well.. my attorney sucked and he wanted to slowly get her back into my home. During the visitations my child was telling me all of these horrable things that sally had been telling her about me. She is now 4. we went back to court 2 weeks ago and of course sally said that my child had told her new allegations about me so the judge said that he would send it to DHS one more time and if they throw it out again that he would give her back to me. Oh and when the judge talked to my child he said that there was no dount in his mind that my child is being coached. I went to meet with DHS this past Monday and they took my 7 month old from meand my other child and put them in child services. Since then my youngest has been placed with my mother in law, but my oldest is still in DHS care. We go back to court next Wednesday and I am terrified that I am going to loose my kids. How much do they really listen to what a 4 year old is telling them? And how can you tell that a child is coached? And how can I eliminate this woman's temporary papers?? She has no relation what so ever. I am lost with out my girls and will do whatever it takes to get them back

I really don't understand why they are putting you through all this when they can tell she is being coached. It is easier to tell if a kid is coached than not. In other words, if they said they did not think she was coached it would be iffy whether she was or not but it is clear she was.

I'm not real sure either. That is what I don't understand. Both of my parents have also stepped up and said that they would take her in until all of this is resolved but for some reason unknown they want to keep this awful woman apart of my child's life. And I just don't see how someone with no relation can just keep your child!

The stalling on her part and DHS is what worries me because they will play games and sabotage you and then say it took too long so they have to close the case and adopt them out. You need to ask them why they would want her with somebody that manipulates with lies. DHS seems to act above and apart from the law so I hope your Judge is fair and honest by doing the right thing this time around.
She tricked you into guardianship because you were vulnerable and now she is pulling stuff on your kids and the court.
