How do you return home if you are senenced to probation in another state?
My husband was convicted of felony theft in the state of Texas (with differed adjudication). He has moved to Missouri with me and has a job in this state. He went to Texas for sentencing and they gave him probation. His probation officer told him that he cannot leave the state until Missouri (the receiving state approves him). Something doesn't seem right from what I have read on the interstate compact website he should at least be allowed a seven day pass. If he can't go to work he will lose his job and then he would be violating the conditions of his probation... Right?
