    Washing machine agitator
My Whirlpool washing machine has stopped agitating. The motor sounds good, but the solenoid is not pulling up the magnetic arms. I've ohm'd the solenoid, and both are about 700. (I've heard they should be between 250 and 1000) so I'm assuming its OK. I've replaced the timer... no luck. Any ideas? I'd hate to rewire, but that all I can think of now.

Check the cams (dogs) You will need to separate the agitator If the other cycles work but not the agitaion the cams are bad. You can purchase the for under $15.00 and takes about 20 min to change

No cams or dogs on this machine... the agitator is one piece. It seems the only thing not working is the solenoid... but they seem to check out OK.

You did not provide a model # (complete info) and giving negative rating when I'm trying to help you? Good Luck

Sorry. I'm really frustrated with this. I'll take back any negative ratings if I can.

Nope, not possible. Once you express your opinion it's there.
