    Java is not working
    Hi,
    I cannot get java to work on my laptop. I've tried all the help suggestions. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    What version of Java do you have? Did you install the Microsoft Java or the Sun Java?

    Right-click on the blue Internet Explorer "E" on your desktop and select Properties.
    Click the Advanced tab at the top.
    Scroll down the list of items and look for a heading called Java (Sun). If you have this heading then look at the checkbox below. Is it checked? It should say something like:
    Use JRE 1.6.0_05 for <applet> (requires restart).

    The version of the Java Runtime Environment is after the JRE initials. If the box is not checked then you might be using the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine instead. This option would be near the Sun Java option. Either one would be used but not both. If none are checked then select the Sun Java and reboot. If none are present, you will need to download the Sun JRE and install it.

    Maybe you sholud try to download and setup the newest version of java :D
