I would get a gun holster with a nice shinny loaded gun. Go over to her house when she is alone. Keep a little tape recorded in your pocket. Pretended the gun isn't on you. Then ask her nicely for the bike back. If she says no, just look her in the eye and say I am sorry it is going to have to be like this and walk away nicely. She will call you later and tell you come pick up the bike. She will either give you the bike then or call the cops and say you threated her, which you have a tape to prove you haven't. Keep going over day and doing the same thing. She will cave eventually.
Well you've done the nice way, so I'm afraid in a situation like this, there's only one thing for it... go and nick it back.
Legally it belongs to you, so your not committing any crime.
Deny every thing.
I know a guy that knows a guy...
Because she is related to you, the police consider it a civil, not a criminal matter.
In this case, I believe they are wrong, but what can you do?
The only other thing you can try, is go down to the County Attorneys or Prosecutors office and fill out an affidavit for arrest for the theft of the bicycle.
You might get lucky, and they will approve it, other than that, anything else I would suggest would only end up with you being the one in trouble.
That particular scenerio is sure to get your behind arrested and in more trouble than a bicycle and a heck of a lot priceier to fix without a pricey attorney's help. That is the last thing you want to do is approach someone with a gun.Quote:
