    Side-Effects From Vaccinations
So next Wednesday August 6th is my birthday. For my birthday my parents are giving 50$ to do what I want with it. Since I've been baby sitting a few times through out the summer I made over 120$, but I spent most of it and am left only with 80$. I told my mom that for my birthday I want to get Rex vaccinated, so we got an apointment for August 6th. We are getting him vaccinated for Parvo,Distemper and Rabies, but since its his first time we have to vaccinate him twice August 6th and September 6th. So its going to cost 61.02$ the first time and 61.02$ the second. After getting him vaccinated we plan on going to our camp this is the only place rex can run free. I was just wondering if there are any side-effects from the vaccinations that I should know about. And is he allowed running around after getting the needles?
He's 3 years old, and I would have liked to get him down earlier but we were incapable financially.

It was business as usual for my big pup after vaccinations. I do believe we took her camping and canoeing after and no side effects. But check with the vet, there may be some new developments in the last ten years. I am glad you are able now to have him done, better safe then sorry with the rabies shot if he is going to run around the camp area. Other dogs should be as well taken care of as yours does.

I never notice too much reaction to the vaccinations in my pets. So in general, if something does happen, it's most likely that they will be just a bit "off" for a day or two. However, rare serious reactions are always possible. Get a business card from the vet just in case you need to call, and make sure you ask them what you should watch out for.
