Do any of the descriptions on the following site resemble the type about which you are asking?
Crochet Stitches - Chain (ch). Single Crochet (s c)., Half Double Crochet (half d c), Double Crochet (d c). Treble (Tr). For a Double Treble (d tr), Slip Stitch (sl st)., Block (bi) end Spece (sp., Picot (p). Cross Stitch., Cluster., Knot Stitch. Pop
I actually found that site via the following one which has a huge amount of information concerning crochet.
Crochet Pattern Central - Free, Online Crochet Stitch Directory
Hey Clough, thanks for all the links. I've been doing that for the passed half hour...
You're welcome, Momma! I thought the link that had all the other links on it was pretty cool! :)
Hi Momma
I just read your request and thought you might like to know that my mother in law could crochet all the stitches but couldn't read from a pattern .
So when I started I did a complicated pram cover from a book and kept going to the back to find how to do each stitch. Eventually I remembered them and can now follow any pattern. I found this the best way to learn so I hope it is helpful Good luck
Glenda
