    Find an Artist
I purchased a painting in the chicago suburbs back in the 80's. It is signed F WAGNER and I think the artist is czech or slovak. I would like to find out more about the artist. Where do I look. Thank you

It would help if you would provide more information on this thread concerning the painting. For instance, what is the subject matter of it? And, what are the dimensions of it?

    Thanks!

Look for info on the artist
I purchased an oil painting in chicago back in 1985. 20"x30" oil signed F Wagner. The painting is of a mill in the country side with the wheel turning with the help of a creek or small river. Can I get any info on the artist. Maybe Slovak or Czech. Thank you

Is there a date listed on the painting?

Possibly Fritz Wagner... he does a lot of old time scenery.

    Hi, T1234b!

I just merged your two questions together to be on one thread in order to avoid confusion here. This place doesn't operate the same way that a chat room does. Please continue to post responses on this thread instead of starting a new one.

Concerning your question now, does the one that you have look anything like the style of the one that is pictured below? It is also by an "F. Wagner."

    Thanks!

Thank you for your confirmation, T1234b! Then, I will keep doing some research for you. It's possible that there might be someone who will also come along who has an interest in this sort of thing who would also like to help and come up with answers for you!

    Thanks!
