Hi- I sign a one year lease that isn't up until February. I had separated from my husband. He is being transferred out of state and I have decided to go with him. Is there any way out of my lease?

If he is listed as one of the tenants, there are normally release clauses for job transfers.
This would only apply if HE is on the lease with you.
If it is only you on the lease, YOU would have to be transferred in order to use that provision.
Not unless your lease specifically allows it. Most do not.Quote:

It will probably still wind up costing you something, but better than getting sued.
Some won't even deal with it. They'll just wait for you to move and stop paying and then come after you legally.
