Please accept this letter as my 60 day notice, terminating my tenancy at _____address_____ effective September 30, 2008.

That's all it needs to say. Unless your lease specifies something else. I assume you're at the end of your lease - not breaking it?
Personally, I would add something like "My security deposit can be returned at New Address", if you happen to know what that is. That way they can't delay sending it to you based on the fact that you didn't give them a forwarding address in writing.
I don't disagree with this, however, make sure you give them your forwarding information again, at move-out, when you turn in your keys.Quote:
