I am a firm believer that dreams mean something, I just don't know what.

A few nights ago, I had a dream that skeletons were around my house, and no one else could see them but me. I could also talk to them and they told me stories about how they died..

What could this mean?

To see a skeleton in your dream, represents something that is not fully developed. You may still in be the planning stages of some situation or project. Alternatively, it may suggest that you need to get to the bottom of some matter. You need to stand up for yourself and your rights.

Not sure what them telling you how they died means.

But it sounds like something you are to prepare for... possibly something psychic.

Clarissa Pinkola Estes tells a great story called "Skeleton Woman" that she developed from an Inuit song. The skeleton is the core, the incorruptible self. It is the "rock solid" part of yourself. You've heard the saying, "to feel it in your bones"? It means to feel it at the deepest level of confidence.

I agree with NoHelp that this is best seen as an initiatory dream. You are developing the ability to hear the ancient messages that other people around you cannot hear. Bone wisdom is earth wisdom, stone wisdom. Death is release and transformation, the life cycle. The skeletons were telling you how to come to understand this process at a deep level.
