County court judgement- is a county court judgement the same as a civil judgement
There are two types of courts, CIVIL and CRIMINAL,
There there are levels, but yes, if this was only a CIVIL issue it is,
So unless you were ordered to pay something because of a criminal case, this would be civil
I have a friend who as a county court judgement against him but he is trying to extend is student visa. I will like to know if this will affect is chances of getting it extended and what can he do because it is stated on the form to give details of any civil judgement against any applicant
Please provide more details about the case, how long has he been a student in US, etc.
Well. He is in the united kingdom but your advice is still needed. He has been a student for about 8 years now planning to proceed to study for phdQuote:

The civil judgement is from a credit card company and ordered by a county court for a payment of £500Quote:

Posting the same question 3 times is confusing and you are receiving multiple answers on the various threads - should be combined
I am not certain about UK visa, but if this happens in US, it may jeopardize his status especially when he goes for practical training. No matter what country, what he should do is pay the debt... if unable to make it in one payment, ask if he can make it 2-3 payments or whatever that he can make it... and don't screw up again.Quote:
