How do I access my router through my IP address
One generally accesses a router's web-based administration interface via the router's IP address, not the computer's IP address. Once you know the router's IP address, typically 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 with a 255.255.255.0 or 255.255.0.0 netmask, you configure your computer to have an address on the same subnet, 192.168.1.2 for example. You then open a browser window, Internet Explorer or otherwise, and enter the router's IP address in the address bar, http://192.168.1.1 for this example, and hit enter. A prompt for security credentials, username and password, may appear, which for a new installation may be determined from the router's documentation.
Thanks, right on the money. You are the BUM
