    Noisy water pipes
Running shower/bath upstairs creates deep resonating noise. Turning on cold water tap in kitchen stops the noise. Any ideas as to cause or cure?

Looks like you have loose stem somewhere in the system. Opening kitchen faucet diverts portion of water flow therefore making the noise less audible.
