I'm thinking of traveling to France and England next year for about a 2 week trip. Will I need a visa or will a passport be all I need to travel.
Thanks

You need both. Simply stated a visa allows you to enter another country; a passport identifies you as a resident of this country and allows you to leave and re-enter.
Basically the US doesn't care if you leave but they require ID.

All you need is US passport that valid at least 6 months... Have fun!!
