I am having a problem like this I live in Indy also in the semi small town Shelbyville and I have a girlfriend and we have been together for almost 9 months now and we truly love each other but her dad is WAY over his head because he has a thought in his head that he can do what he wants and doesn't like me for no reason at all I have even tried to get on his goodside and I believe I did a goodjob but I guess I didn't I am 17 and ill be 18 on Sept 15 and she is 15 and she will be 16 on Dec 15 if had to wait for a few months till she was 16 her dad can not do anything for he had said that he's going to come to my house and beat me which personally means to me as I could call the cops on him for I am a minor still but can he make it so she can't talk to me or even be around me even when she is 16??

First its not a good idea to piggyback your question on someone else's. This can lead to confusion. You should start a new thread. So I've moved your question to its own thread.

Second, NO ONE should be engaging in sexual intercourse unless they are financially and emotionally prepared to have a child. The fact that you want to have sex with a 16 yr old when you are barely 18 confirms her father's fears about you.

However, Indiana law is clear, 16 is the unequivocal age of consent. You cannot be prosecuted for a sex crime if she is 16 aqnd consents.

At the moment he's right - he can do what he wants, make any rules he cares to make, where it involves his daughter and you.
