gfci breaker that controls a pool heater opens erratically. Why?
I have a 24 volt 2 pole gfci breaker in a 1.6 kw resistive pool heater. Indoor pool. Voltage and current levels are within spec. I measure currents of up to .1 amp in the common ground.

The breaker opens at random. I wonder if it is malfunctioning or improperly installed.

thanksfor any help you can give me

Is there anything electrical getting wet?
Is there a chlorine generator? Could it be salt?

How old is the heater? Could the element be going bad?

    Lots of variables here.
