HI, I have a maytag MGD 5500 AWW dryer (gas). In the last year we have replaced the motor and the control panel. Worked fine a few days ago. Ongoing problem is it beeps for now reason, no lights come on it just starts beeping... then will stop on it own. Today when I went to dry a load of clothes it lights up the correct buttons and timer and the light in the drum but nothing happens no matter what buttons I push. Any ideas? Thanks for looking!!

Same problem here but with MDE7500 electric dryer. Anyone have an answer? Thanks.

My dryer finally started working again. I took the dryer apart and my husband got out his electrical tester thingy (I do mechanical stuff just fine, I don't do electrical :) ) and tested all the little boxes and relays and stuff and they all seemed fine. I put it back together and it started to work!! Never did figure out why. It still does make these beeping noises at odd times of the day and night. ( I think its an alien signaling the mother ship), can be very annoying but doesn't seem to affect how its working. So far so good. I'll let you know If I figure anything else out, or if the mother ship finally comes and takes it away!! :p
