Hi , Can I know how to filter the negative comments posted to my website and display only the positive comments.
Are you the creator and webmaster of the website?
Yes of course
Y u asking so, you what's the idea do u know?
I'm asking, because if you have used one of the free services to create a website, then there might not be all that you can do in terms of having control of the content of comments other than to just keep monitoring it and delete the comments that you don't want.
However, if you have used some sort of program on your computer to create a template and format for your website, then it would help to know what program that might be for us to help you the best here.
What kind of website is it that you have created, please? It would also to help to know that.
Hopefully, others will also come along to address your question.
Thanks!
Hi , I'm not using the free services, I'm building it with the help of the program, and my website what I'm developing is business oriented website concerned with online sales, so that the users may paste their comments in it, some competition web site owners may post a negative comments, To eliminate those I've been searching for an idea to imply it
I would think that it would be difficult, no matter what the program is that you are using, to have a program filter out negative comments automatically. But, I'm not really sure about that. Perhaps some programs have a filtering function to find certain keywords or phrases that might be used in negative comments whereby those comments could be automatically deleted or excluded from the list of viewable comments.
If you tell us what the program is that you are using, then maybe there might be someone here who knows a lot about it and the functions contained in it for filtering.
I could not get what the program mean?
Why not just have your customers email their comments back to you and then you can manually put up the best ones (after you've asked them if it's OK of course!), you could easily filter your results then!
Any other way (say a radio button, like on eBay, with "positive" and "negative") of filtering would mean that someone wanting to put up a negative comment would just click on the good option, send it, and everyone would still see what they wrote!
That's not the case, the comments which are appearing is displayed randomly from the comment database, and I cannot keep on checking the emails and posting it, if it is automatic it might be more efficient
Thanks
Ah right, I see!
I think it would be a pretty tough thing to do. Like I say, if someone wants to put a negative comment on your website, without you vetting every single entry, they will find a way!
The only other way would be to add negative keywords to filter... but that's a massive task, and again, I'm sure someone would find a way around it!
