    My girlfriend wants a break!
Hello. Let me just tell you wats going on-- me and my girlfriend have been dating for a little over 5 months. We are in so in love with each other.. but two days ago we were at the beach and she sat me down and told me "is it okay if we take a little break?" she said she needs more time to get a relationship back with her mom and god, and though she loves me, I'm a "distraction". So its been two days, and all I've eaten was a bowl of cereal- running on about 6 hours of sleep (for two nights total). I'm afraid wer not going to get back together, or shel fall in love with someone else.. but she doesn't seem to be as upset as me in this situation..

Last night I was at a friend's house- and this girl was all over me. Touching me, just getting way too close for comfort. So I told her, and she was just like "well dont wait up for me". I told her she's the only one in my life and I could never do something like that... whereas if it happened a few weeks ago shed threaten to kill the girl...

I talked to her this morning and I asked her will we would ever get back together? And she said I don't know... so I said do you want to? She said "yes, but idk what the future holds". We still say I love you to each other...

I've been completely broken ever since then, but I'm trying to stop myself from weeping on the fone with her so that she knows that I'm here for her and I care about her. Ill give her the space she needs and she'l come back, right?

Please help me out people I've been miserable...

I think she broke up with you the "polite" way... and now she is stringing you along cause she doesn't know how to take responsibility for her wants and feelings. Take a step back... And look at her actions. Is she interested in someone else? Do you argue? Did she seem to lose interest in you.. did she change in any sort of way..

I think you missed an opportunity with that second girl to have some dating fun. You're single now.

We've never gotten into a fight. We've done the most romantic stuff together. I took her to the beach and serenaded her with an acoustic guitar and a sunset where I first told her I loved her. She said I'm the only one in her life, and she still loves me. But she just wants a relationship back with god because she's become so attached to me that I've become her everything- and religion is important to us...

Lol? Confirmed? Maybe she gets around but you really think/know she has every disease in the book? Anyway...

Like others have said, she might be breaking up with you "nicely" which is a weird way to say it because it usually turns out to be the most painful way

Keep your options open and check out the list of things to do after a break up to keep your mind off things, here I will paste some of it here for you

Also, how old are you? I didn't see anywhere that you may have said this

    1. Volunteer
    2. Take a class in something you're interested in
    3. Learn a foreign language
    4. Read a book on the best seller chart
    5. Take up a sport (with friends is best) like Bowling or Golf
    6. Call old friends and family members
    7. Play some video games
    8. Watch some movies
    9. Join a gym
    10. Learn how to speed read (good software is rocket reader)
    11. Learn how to cook
    12. Get a library card
    13. Start a new savings account and make a bet with yourself on how much you can save
    14. Take on a new project at work
    15. Update your resume
    16. Buy some new clothes
    17. Buy that CD you've always wanted
    18. Change the layout of your furniture
    19. Go for walks

Lol all right yeah... I see what you mean, but still, I think the list has good things to do to keep your head clear versus sitting at home dwelling on it, no?
