I have been arrested for petty larceny, I know it was stupid and I can't quite even remember why I did it. I was arrested 16 years for the same thing .I am a singlemom , and atend college fulltime. Do you think I will go to jail? I am worried sick

I think you'll probably get probation, a lecture, a fine, restitution, maybe banned from the store for a period.

I would also be very, very repentant and forget the whole "I can't quite even remember why I did it" thing. The Judge may not be very understanding and will probably say you did it because you wanted something without paying for it. Judges aren't necessarily nice.
