DVD/CD DRIVE NOT WORKING OR SHOWING ON COMPUTER.



I de fragged my computer and now my dvd and cd drive won't work.ive tried reinstall programs and it still won't work.it dos'nt even show when you go into my computer.any idea's?
I've been into all the maintenance menu's and help menu's on my laptop and can't find nothing.also repair reinstall programs etc.I opened up the file location and the file is still on my computer,but there is nowhere on that location to re-install.
