Is there anyway that I can get these people move on?
4 years ago, my family moved into a new house. From the moment I stepped into the house I could feel that something wasn't quite right. There was a sense of sadness and a constant presence. As soon as you would walk into the house, you would feel drained. Then one night, I woke up to what felt like someone tugging at my sleeve. I wasn't concerned, I thought that it was my little sister, sometimes when she has nightmares she comes to sleep with me. So I scooted over and pulled back the covers so that she could get in and when she didn't I opened my eyes and to my surprise, there was no one there. I looked into my little sister's room and she was fast asleep, practically snoring. That was the first time that I thought that something was in the house, but I remained unconvinced. After that I started hearing things,a young child whimper or say my name when my sister wasn't even home, the sound of men's work boots stomping down the hall,I even set out a recorder while everyone slept and caught a deep voice bellow the name Jacob. The longer I live in this house, the more convinced I am that there are in fact spirits here. Recently we started renovating the house. The activity has really kicked up since then. It's like a madhouse now. I'm hearing more voices, more footsteps, I'm being touched more often, and I have recently seen the entity of a man standing in my doorway. I know it sounds crazy. Sometimes I think I am crazy, but the rest of the family is experiencing the same things and that reassures me. I in no way feel threatened by whoever is here, I'm just a little puzzled.
I ask if there is anyway to help these people move on?

I looked this up and some sites do say that when a house is being renovated it does cause the entities to act up more and they should settle down some after the work is done.
Some people think that tearing a haunted house down and rebuilding it will clear the place of spirits but it doesn't because they are not bound to material physical world.

Here are some things that paranormal sites suggest

Tell the ghost to leave, or to stop doing things that bother you. T Paranormal researchers think the majority of ghosts don't recognize their own activities as bothersome to the living; some ghosts may not even realize they're dead. When you address a ghost directly, you can explain that it is physically dead, but you are alive and you want it to leave your home. If you think you might be able to live with the ghost if only it doesn't do annoying things, you can try telling it that it can stay in your home if it stops doing those things.

Smudging your house with sage bundles can cleanse it of negative spirits.

    Prayer
Having your home or objects in it blessed can keep ghosts away. Have your personal space blessed. If your ghost is malevolent or extremely persistent, you may be able to convince a member of the clergy to come to your home and bless the whole house.

Ouija boards and séances make them worse so do not attempt that.

Sea salt may also disorient them so they do not want to stick around.
