    My puppy is vomiting
I brought a puppy yesterday she's apprently 7 weeks old but is very small when I brought her home I thought she was just a fatty but this morning she wouldn't eat and vomited I took her to the vet and they gave her some meds to settle her tummy but she still continues to vomit and still not eating she's very perky and is having fun chasing my cat around and biting my toes but I am worried she might be really sick

Sometimes pups vomit because they over indulge just about everything. Keep an eye on her. If she was really ill she would be lethargic, laying around, not doing very much of anything. The fact that she is playing and active is a good sign.

She is only 7 weeks old. Puppies should really stay with their mother for at least 8 weeks. Are you feeding her the right food for her age? As Tickle said, if she was very sick, she would be lethargic. She is probably just getting used to her new surroundings, and feeling a little bit overwhelmed.

Makes sure she is hydrated, and if she doesn't eat within the next day or so, take her back to the vet. Has she gotten all of her puppy shots? If not, make sure that she gets all of them ASAP.

I'm not sure what you mean by Wheatbix. Do you mean the cereal? At this point she should be fed a moist food that is easy to eat and digest. She was just weened, so she will have to get used to eating on her own, and not relying on her mother to feed her. She probably is just trying to get used to eating on her own, and developing her taste for food other than her mothers nourishment.

I would stick to the proper food made specifically for puppies. They contain the proper amount of nutrients to give your puppy a healthy head start.

I feel the need to ask. What kind of puppy do you have, and why does your girlfriend breed when there are so many puppies and dogs put to sleep everyday, of all different breeds, because nobody rescues them.
