He might feel as if he can joke with you, since you have been together for 5 years. He probably thinks that you won't take offense to it because you two are so comfortable around each other.

I honestly feel as if he would mean it, since he didn't just say it once. Looks shouldn't matter, feel comfortable with your body. If you feel sexy, he'll find you sexy. =]

Never let someone's opinion make you feel ugly. I'm sure you're a beautiful woman. Just have self-confidence and don't let it upset you.

If you are feeling revengful.. say something hurtful about his looks and do what he did to you. Say "oh, i'm just kidding." and see how it makes him feel. Let him know how it feels to be hurt like that.

I think after 5 years he feels so comfortable with you that he can joke with you about this. To me this sounds more like a guy (or at least a guy mind) trying to joke with someone that he thinks is in on the joke. My point is, you are taking this way too much to heart to when I don't think he means the slightest harm by it. I used to call my ex girlfriend the beast because when she'd get mad she'd roar. Did I really think she was a beast... well she was, but that's not relavant, my point is he's joking with you and need not take it to heart. Granted he doesn't know how this is viewed by you but at the same time he's not doing it for hurtful reasons. Now take Tal's advice and come up with some good comebacks to him if he says it again.

Is he a jokester? Does he always crack little jokes here and there? Maybe it's just his personality and the fact that he's so comfortable around you that he can treat you like one of the guys or something. I would ever say that my girlfriends butt is saggy (but damn she has a nice tush lol) but that's besides the point!

Confidence trumps beauty. If you're confident in your body, he'll take notice. Maybe you should sit down and talk to him no holds bar about this. Ask him if what he is saying TRULY is how he feels or if he is just trying to joke around with you. Make sure he knows that what you are hearing from him (whether he's joking or not) is hurtful to you and makes you feel self-conscious.
