My question is simple I want to file for sole custody of my son. I do not want him to have any visitations at all because he is an abusive person. The question is can I get sole custody w/o visitation if I there is no real proof of him hurting my children,just proof he was abusive to me?

You have to go to court and apply for full custody and tell the Judge your concerns
Then it is up to him what he will grant but you can not just have his rights signed away.
