    Horrible hair color dye!
Hi! I need help to fix the color in my hair! I have natural dark brown hair and I try to change my color to a red color. I went to sally beauty supply and I got " Hicolor Hilights for dark hair only" by loreal technique in color magenta. So I follow the instructions and everything what a surprise! My hair is horrible color the top of my head is bright red, orange, pink color and the rest of my hair is dark red whit some Hilights:eek: . I want to fix my hair soon! I don't have a lot of money to pay somebody to fix it. So can someone please tell me If I need to use ash light brown or light natural brown to fix it? And what color it going to turn whit this mix?
    Thanks.

I'm sorry to hear what happened. First, too much ammonia can destroy your hair. What kind of red did you want? Something bright and pow! Or a like a deep burgundy? If you wanted something bright looking I'll suggest you first bleach your hair, to make it very light, but not necessarily blonde. Work your way from tip to roots, remember the roots are very delicate so they tend to react to the ammonia much much faster than the tips. After lightening your hair then you can rinse it with the red color, hence rinse, just to see if that's the color you want, if it is, go back to the beauty store and tell them you want the permanent color to the one you are wearing now(keep the bottle). I cannot see your hair so I will suggest you get it darker something with little or no ammonia so it can heal then start again in a month or so. You don't want to damage your hair by dying it over and over again.
