Moving from California to Toronto, Canada
    Hello,

I will be moving from Ontario, California to Toronto Canada very soon. I have been offered employment in Toronto but am in need of a Temporary Work Permit. I have been searching and trying to figure out if I should get a Temporary Work Permit and a Temporary Resident Visa or try to receive a skilled workers visa and a temporary work permit. I am looking to move within the next two months.

    Please help!

    Thanks,

    Licorice 45:)

Your employer should be the one who apply work permit for you.
You cannot obtain work permit through one employer and work for another.

Thank you for your response. So I should have the employer send a letter stating my employment offer and employment details and submit this paperwork to the Canadian CIC department for my work permit?

I understand what you are stating. Do you think that I should apply for a temporary resident status at the same time or should I apply for a skilled worker's visa?

    Thanks for your help
