I need to know what is the punishment for Identity Theft? I've looked in the web but I just found old articles... I don't know the actual punishment today.

Are you asking because it's something that you did or that someone else did? What are the particulars to the identity theft, please? Also, where did the crime occur? It would help to have the answers to those questions in order for the folks here to help you the best.

IT is normally a state law, so each state will have different punishments.
Also the reason of it, and the cost to the other person are factors.
And if money or property was invovled, often fraud and theft chargs are added also.
