So if you were sort of interested in someone, and you sense they are sort of interested in you, and then you learn their latest ex was a minorly successful professional model and porn star (okay, not a famous one, but maybe like... semi-famous) and they haven't told you this themselves, how would you react? Would you react? Would you ask them about it? Would you be concerned? Or would you think nothing of it? You know this was a very hard breakup for them, by the way, and they may or may not now be completely over the person.

Stay away because I don't want to be a rebound. The ex is pornstar? So? The hell I care? I just don't want to be a rebound, Ill just let that person heal first.

Who cares if their ex was Oscar the grouch living in a garbage can. An ex is an ex, it shouldn't affect the present or future UNLESS they have an STD from said porn star.

Now, if the breakup was bad and the interested party is not over their said porn star ex, then I would run because baggage is never fun.

I've noticed for some reason all the respondants thus far are men (I think). A lot of women get insecure when their boyfriend just looks at porn (though I've never been too concerned about this, myself).

But do you not think, at least, that who someone's past loves were says something about who they are, as a person? In other words, to me it raises the question: why was this person so compelling to them? What role did how they looked (or what they did for a living) play, and does it mean anything about expectations this person will have for future lovers? I think the only reason I'd have more questions about a porn star than I would, say some other unusual profession, is because well, a porn star has a lot to do with sex which is, generally an important part of relationships...

I think a lot of it has to do with the idea that porn is so focused towards the male gender... however, you got to try and understand that being a porn star, much like being a stripper, is a job. Yes, it sort of kind of defines the person, but you can't stereotype it that much.

I recently graduated from a private school... ranked top 15 in the nation.. . wouldn't you believe it that I know at least 5 girls that strip for a living, and one girl who actually runs a soft core porn site?

... in real life, they are the sweetest girls you'll ever meet... not slutty in any sense, and to top it off, they're brilliant.

I agree, that it may raise questions, but I would suggest to the girl, if that's not your thing, then fine... but perhaps you should look deeper, as the girl (barbie) may not really be all that "bad" or have low expectations. If the guy is everything wonderful BUT this thing... I wouldn't write him off... just... yet.

I get what you're saying, ISneeze, and I think I agree with most of it. I went to a top 10 school, and I also know strippers.

But, I tend to think that having sexualized pictures of yourself in this permanent medium that is print, and out there publicly accessible on the web, as well as having acted in porn films, is a somewhat more serious (and riskier) endeavour than stripping.

Doesn't /necessarily/ mean anything about how she'd behave sexually in a relationship, I guess. I just don't know. I mean, I think I'm a pretty sexual person, but I'm hardly a girl who's really into serving guys a lot, so that would be one (of a few) things I'd be a little concerned about...

I think if the situation calls for porn then yeah.. like my ex was in iraq for a year I think that's okay.. I mean why would he want jack off to that while I was around! He does own some porno magz but I wouldn't make him thow them away.. some woman just are super immature about things
