Hi
I was given a Ipod Nano with video and I bought one from overseas and I cannot get either to be recognized or even download using cds. Can someone tell this old gal what she's doingwrong? I am following the instruction using I Tunes but when I try to transfer it does not see my iPod.

Have you reformatted your iPod? I suggest reformatting it, reconfiguring it via system restore.

Thanks, can you tell me how to do that? Sorry I am totally new to this iPod world. The last electronic thing I owned was a portable cassette player.. Hey hey don't laugh I bet you had one yearsssssssssssss ago.

Haha, I'd hate to say it... but the first thing I ever owned was an iPod.

To do a hard reset
1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
2. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.

Then connect it to your computer, and get iTunes started, and turn on your iPod.
