    Sorry, my link went down while I answering this.

    First, evaluate each equation to find the simplest value for "x".

    Next, in the second equation, replace the value of x from the first evaluation into the "x" place in the second equation. Now solve for "y".

    Once you have a value for "y", replace the "y" with the correct value and then solve for "x"

    Well, he's asking for ELIMINATION METHOD to solve that.

    Simply 'add' both equations into each other.
