I have a Kenmore Washer 44722 Model # 110.44722401

The light on the console are flashing (to select a cycle), but the it won't stop flashing & the start button does not work.

Often this indicates that the lid is not properly closed down.
Or that there was a previous unbalance in the load that caused the protection to block the machine from starting up. This is controlled by a switch near the lid.
Just have a look there !

To repair the problem : open up the unit and check the condition of that switch : measure the continuity of that switch with a multi meter in Ohms mode. Replace the switch if faulty.

Please be careful : do not touch anything while the washer is connected to the power. Always remove the power : take the power cable out of the socket and put it on to the ground in front of you to make sure.
