For me (who gained belly fat from Depo-provera) there are three things that really help.
For quickly visible results add a serving or three of fruit to your daily diet. Fruit contains pectin which helps you feel full. It does something else too, I'm not sure what but it's like magic. If you're watching calories look up your favorite fruits and check how much pectin and caloric energy they contain.
Drink water, a lot of water.
The other trick which melts away belly fat is not eating before bed.
Unfortunately fat tends to gather around the middle. Remember that you did not gain weight overnight so therefore you will not lose it over night either. Please tell me a little more about yourself. Weight, height, diet and . Can't wait to hear from you.
You can't lose fat in specific areas. You burn fat in general, and your body takes it from all the areas it's accumulated. Diets don't work, lifestyle changes do. You can go on a crash diet and burn 3249349058349053lbs in 12 minutes, but they will all come back again. Your best bet is to make subtle changes in your life, and stick with them.
The first one you should make, if it applies to you, is to stop lying to yourself and others about your diet. You should try to break down your meals into 5 smaller ones instead of 3 big ones with snacks eating more smaller meals will make you fell like your eating a lot but you are really cutting back.
Crunches, Sit Ups will help the most. Most people say swimming is the best exercise cause you use every muscle in your body.
