    There is no ging rate for this kind of work. It is all dependent on the labor rates in your area and if you want a handyman or a real carpenter.

    I would recommend getting multiple quotes from good quality carpenters that have experience in thise area. Everyone can't install crown well.
    And is the crown stained wood or painted? I have found it easier to hide mistakes with painted crown with the use of caulk. It gives a much better appearance.

    I know that doesn't answer your question directly, but it is a loaded question to begin with. ;-)

    I charge 3.50 a ft. that is material and labor.
    Keep in mind this price is for mdf crown from my supplier, not a Lowe's or other homecenter.
    Most of the crown I install are around 38 cent to 50 cent a ft
