    Bees in home wall
I have a bee hive in the wall of my home. Typically how many live in a colony?

Could be thousands of bees in a colony. It all depends on how long they have been there as well. If these are honey bees I would suggest calling your local Agriculture Dept and ask them if there is a beekeeper willing to get the bees out of your walls in exchange for the bees rather than killing them.

Twinkie is right. Especially since ther's a bit of a bee crisis. Don't just kill them. Besides the shortage of bees (essential pollinators) a dead hive will only attract all sorts of other pests you don't want in your house - invertebrate and vertebrate.
