    Witnesses at the courthouse marriage
We are planning on eloping and we need witnesses for the ceremony. Do they provide these? And can family attend the ceremony and be used as witnesses ?

In most cases, the JP or clerk will have people to witness the ceremony and sign the license. But you can bring anyone you want to perform that task.

They have all provided them that I am aware of, you do need to call and make arrangements, as to time the judge will do weddings. Some courts have a set time a day for everyone to show up, in other cases you wait till the judge is in chambers.
